Castle Peak
The crew of four of us Entering Montezuma basin.
I love this picture because it epitomizes spring skinning, hard. Also The light reminds me of the stillness in the high alpine mornings.
A good view of the summit caked in snow up high, but also notice all the previous wet slide activity.
More obvious wet slide activity from the day before. Its frozen now still from the night, and we will race the clock to get to the summit safely from here.

Hiking up a couloir its starting to get extermely got. We are trying to move fast to get to the top.
It felt like it was about 65 degrees here.

Blown away at all the amazing high alpine terrain in COlorado. This was my first 14er summit! You can see Crested Butte behind me.
Looking East towards Pearl pass, and down at montezuma Basin, we started around that treeline at the bottom of the basin.
Looking at the North face of Castle, you vcan see tracks down by the saddle.
